Detailed Speech and Language Report

Each evaulation includes a comprehensive report outlining the child’s speech and language abilities. The report also provides short- and long-term targets, practical strategies, and recommended next steps to support their communication development.

Collaboration with Parents, Carers, and Professionals

To ensure a full understanding of the child’s communication needs, a discussion takes place with parents, carers, and professionals, such as teachers and nursery key workers. This allows everyone involved to contribute to the support plan.

Classroom Observation

I will always send an observational rating scale as standard, but an in-depth observation can be added as an optional extra (see below).

Online and Face-to-Face Assessments

Assessments are available both online and in person, depending on the child’s location and suitability. This flexibility ensures that every child can access support in a way that works best for them.

Formal and Informal Assessments

A mixture of formal and informal evaluations are used to build a full picture of the child’s communication skills. When appropriate, standardized tools such as the CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) may be used. This provides detailed percentile scores and standardized measures.

However, some younger children may not be able to access formal assessments due to developmental or cognitive factors. In these cases, the assessment will be entirely informal, using observations and practical activities to gather insights.

Referral and Additional Support Recommendations

If needed, recommendations for referrals will be made based on the evaluation findings. This may include referrals for autism or ADHD screening. Additionally, if the child’s needs require further support, an EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) assessment may be recommended.

additional extras

  • In-Person Classroom Observation, 30 minutes – ÂŁ40.
  • Online Teacher Consultation (20 min + form review) – ÂŁ30.
