Thank you for choosing me, or considering me, as your Speech and Language Therapist. By engaging my services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1: services
As a speech and language therapist in the UK, I offer a range of services to support children and adults with speech, language, and communication needs. My services are designed to identify, diagnose, and support various speech and language disorders, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary interventions and support to improve their communication abilities. Below is an overview of the services I provide:
Speech, Language, and Communication Assessments
- Formal and Informal Assessments: Comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs. All assessments include a list of recommendations for next steps, strategies to support identified needs, and targets for any challenges. For adults, targets can be adapted to recommendations for others supporting you (e.g., university or employer).
- Diagnosis: Diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Communication Profiles: Identification of communication profiles related to conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Evidence for EHC Plans: Assessments can be used as evidence for applications for Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). While I can advise on the potential benefits of an EHCP, the final decision lies with the local authority.
- Communication Support Plans for Adults: After an assessment and discussion with you, I create personalized communication plans to be shared with carers, healthcare professionals, employers, or anyone else supporting you.
therapy services
- Speech Therapy: Services to develop and improve speech, such as speech sounds, clarity of speech, fluency, or phonological awareness.
- Language Therapy: Therapy to work on developing language use and understanding, including social communication, grammar, and non-verbal communication.
- Self-Advocacy Skills: Support in developing self-advocacy language and skills to better manage and advocate for your speech, language, and communication needs. These needs often present with conditions like ASC, ADHD, and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Training and Support Services
- Training for Professionals: Training programs for other professionals to support speech, language, and communication needs.
- Neurodivergent Support: Tailored support for neurodivergent children and adults to address unique communication preferences and needs.
- Employer Training: Training for employers or organizations to better support individuals with SLCN or neurodivergent employees with communication needs.
clinical supervision
- Speech and Language Therapists: Clinical supervision and guidance to other speech and language therapists to ensure best practices and ongoing professional development.
